Located along Florida’s Indian River Lagoon Scenic Highway, the Environmental Learning Center is a non-profit nature center on a 51-acre island site. Through carefully developed programs and activities for children and adults, the ELC encourages self-discovery and re-discovery of limitless wonders of nature. In an era when hurried living and unbridled growth tend to diminish our senses, the ELC strives, through “hands-on-learning,” to return us to our natural state- that of being fully alert to our surroundings and deeply respectful and appreciative of them.
